With more than 25 years of experience in real estate both abroad and in the U.S., Jane Ford is a Realtor known for navigating the intricacies of coastal real estate development and working tirelessly on behalf of her clients. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jane received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, a master’s degree in secondary education and became a certified paralegal with a specialty in environmental law.
As she puts it, she got into real estate by accident. She was vacationing on the Outer Banks in North Carolina, where she strolled into an open house and began chatting with the developer. Fast forward a few months later: She began working for that oceanfront developer and discovered her calling.
In the decades since, she climbed up the industry ranks, becoming an award-winning real estate professional and starting her own brokerage in North Carolina. While simultaneously managing her brokerage in the U.S., she moved to Grand Cayman where she was a broker with the Sotheby’s brand, representing clients seeking luxury vacation properties and second homes. But even though Jane is widely recognized for her experience in the high-end market, her passion is making her clients’ dreams come true — whether they’re buying their first home or a $10 million-property.
When Jane isn’t negotiating real estate transactions, you can find her exploring Maui’s hiking trails, stand-up paddle-boarding, surfing or riding horses. An avid equestrian, Jane is an FEI show jumping judge and travels to international equestrian competitions across the globe. She speaks Hungarian fluently and lives in her Launiupoko home with her two dogs, Teddy and Jack.
